About Debbie
Debbie Miller's paintings reside in private collections in England, Germany, Norway and throughout the United States. She received a BFA from Rhode Island School of Design in 1988. Born in Massachusetts, Debbie lives and maintains a studio in Rhode Island.
Latest Series: Furlough
Debbie's latest series continues her favorite muse: The female form at the beach, on a furlough from the universal experiences of all women - the mothering, caring for others, chores and work and then taking the time to recharge and re-awaken the spirit within. Debbie explores this theme with a joy of the process. Fascinated with the drawing of the figure, negative space, and dripping thin paint in contrast with thick that in spots reveals the layer below and within.
